Weebly recently made some changes that have affected the layout of theMcKennas.net, so it was time for some rebuilding. That, and I just realized it's been 5 years, almost to the day, that I moved to the Weebly platform. So, stay tuned as we tweak things and get everything looking good and in working order!

No surprise, but there will likely be lots of photos popping up on theMcKennas.net these days. Little Elise is quite the cover girl. I want to ensure that everyone gets the best viewing experience, so I thought I'd post a couple tips you may or may not be aware of. When there is a photo gallery, such as this one, you can view all the photos as they are. You can also hover your mouse over each photo to see a caption (if there is one), like you see in the photo to the left here. In addition, if you click an image, it will open in a larger image viewer. From the viewer, you can move through the rest of the photos in the gallery - look for the arrow buttons at the bottom right or the NEXT/ PREV buttons that appear when you hover the mouse on the image right and left sides, respectively. Also, if there is a caption, you'll see it at the bottom left (see example to the right). Weebly offered a great deal to bump things up to the next level, so as of now, we are actual paying members of the weebly crew. Well worth it! All videos will be migrated from the third party Vimeo to weebly, which will have a nice look. And some other benefits. Plus, we are supporting the very entity that is making the new McKennas site a reality.
The website transition continues, and I just wanted to give a couple shout outs to the new tools I am using. Props go to weebly.com, which is what I am using to develop and build the (free) site. (I have the domain name through GoDaddy for a modest annual fee.) Big props go out to Vimeo.com, which is where I am hosting the video content for the webiste - say no to Youtube, which put the kibosh on a lot of my audio. Check these sites out if you are interested.
Welcome to the new look for the McKennas online! We're in the process of switching web design tools and web hosts, so bear with us. We hope you like the new look, and there should be a number of cool improvements. So, stay tuned as we rebuild the new site.
