Over the weekend, we had a bit of a situation develop. Apparently, our window AC in the back room was tipped forward slightly such that all the condensation it accumulated while running overnight ended up dripping into the room. From there, the water made its way to the kitchen ceiling, which is made up of 1-foot square fiberboard tiles (aka sponges) made to look like a tin ceiling. Two tiles fell on their own and several others needed replacement (see photo). I have since gotten all the tiles replaced. Next will be caulking the seams and painting. Should look as good as new ...

My 6v6 Wednesday night team had a strong season once again. We finished 6-0. The playoffs were tonight and the scheduling was a challenge: semi-finals at 8pm, winner plays in the final at 9pm. We went down 0-2 in the first half of the semi game. We rallied (I scored our first goal) and the game ended in regulation at 4-4. Sudden death. 15 minutes later, we put one in the net and won. On to the finals, drenched in sweat. We went down again, but rallied once more and were victorious, 4-2! That makes 5 championships in the last 6 seasons. Dynasty?
The website transition continues, and I just wanted to give a couple shout outs to the new tools I am using. Props go to weebly.com, which is what I am using to develop and build the (free) site. (I have the domain name through GoDaddy for a modest annual fee.) Big props go out to Vimeo.com, which is where I am hosting the video content for the webiste - say no to Youtube, which put the kibosh on a lot of my audio. Check these sites out if you are interested.
Denise and Jimmer were married on August 7th, 2009, and it was a wonderful time. From the rehearsal BBQ, to the whitewater rafting, to the beautifully personal ceremony and very festive reception, it was an amazing experience. See some photos here. All our love D&J!
